We are also gonna show you the drawbacks of the faucet that most Moen 5923srs reviews skip so that you are fully aware of what you are purchasing.

Enjoy the review!

This premium faucet comes in four finishes. They are-

  • Chrome
  • Black stainless
  • Spot resistant stainless steel
  • Matte black

These four are one of the most stylish looks that go with almost every American home. But they are also elegant enough to be used in restaurants and other commercial places.

All of these finishes are stain and spot resistant. Yes, even the stainless steel one.

Faucet functions

Multiple spray functions greatly enhance the effectiveness of a kitchen faucet. Here are the functions you will have with the faucet-

  • Powerful rinse
  • Aerated stream

The stream is for everyday cleaning. This is your default mode. You need to wash your hands, or for some other soft activity, you need to use the stream. And you have the powerful rinse for heavy-duty cleaning.

These spray functions are activated with a spray head button. This button is easy to access.

Pullout hose

It wouldn’t be a premium device if it was not for the efficiency of the pullout spout. You have a clear view of the hose. Just a simple pull will give you access to the ten-inch hose. Paired with the height of the spout, the hose works greatly. The retraction is also very smooth. It will not snap abruptly.

However, do not confuse it with a pulldown spout as it has no head. The spout is actually holding the hose in place. And the hose is balanced by a counterweight, and there is no magnetic docking system.

Design and dimensions

The align has a tall structure with an overall height of 22.5 inches. But the skinny faucet has a width of only 2.08 inches because the lever style handles are not that large. Moreover, the lack of electronics is also making the faucet thinner.

Overall the product is tall and elegant. But compared to the size, the weight is a bit more. This faucet is almost 8.25 pounds because it is made of metal. The spout has a reach of 10 inches, and the pulldown extends the reach to an additional 10 inches. And the hose length below the deck would be 68 inches.

Easy installation process

Like all other Moen faucet, this one also has an easy and well-communicated installation method. It features the duralock quick connect system for ease of installation. You won’t need any special tools to install it. However, we recommend scissors and safety glasses.
After getting all the necessary items together, you need to place the faucet in the right position as per the installation manual. It is a single hole faucet. So, you just have one hole to worry about and no cutting needed for the installation. Get the hoses in the hole and position it correctly.
However, make sure that your hole is 1.5 inches in diameter because this is the diameter of the whole you need to install the faucet. Your deck thickness should be no more than 2.5 inches.
A blue clip will be supplied with the package. You need to snap that in with the stationary portion of the pulldown hose just above the quick connect system.
In the last step, you have to install a sleeve around the hose. The plastic sleeve will come with the faucet. Slide the hose in the sleeve and lock it in place with the blue clip. If needed, you can also cut the bottom of the sleeve for a better fit.

Flow rate

You will have a maximum flow rate of 1.5 GPM (5.7 LPM). This is the standard rate for regular kitchen faucets. Too much and too little flow speed are both problematic. And the 1.5 GPM is one of the sweet spots. This gives you 50% more power in your spray.

Certification

This faucet is compliant with not only ADA but also the federal lead guidelines. Having certification from ADA was enough, but it went the extra mile of meeting the federal guidelines.

Moreover, it also complies with California AB 1953 and Vermont act 193. So, it is available even in those states, which means it has less than 0.25% lead in its components.

Drawbacks

Although an excellent faucet, this has some minor drawbacks. Here is a full discloser of them.

Loose reach arm rubber

There is a rubber attached to the reach arm where it grabs the spout head. This rubber is used for giving the arm a good grip on the spout. But the adhesives of the rubber is not good enough. Sometimes it comes off the arm when you want to pull out the spout.

Looks might not appeal to everyone

This facet doesn’t have the classy, sleek design we are used to seeing. It has a contemporary design that is unique in the market. People with a great taste of style will surely like it. But the style has the possibility of not matching with many American homes. But it’s completely subjective.

Frequently Asked Questions

It is understandable to have some questions, especially if you are thinking of DIYing the faucet installation. Here are some questions that might help you out.
